The software has been created as universal software for security cross platforms working at the same time with wireless and wired Internet webcams, TV-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the identical form and controls on the local and remote workstations. Users see MPEG-4 coded video and have full management of the program through network that surveillance station can be operated without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular configuration drastically improves reliability because all components act as independent software. If one unit stops working, other units continue running. For instance if the `capture` component stops working, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture via a `playback` unit. The software makes `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be triggered by motion, human face recognition, or by timetable. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance station as well as on distant server through Web interface. The program makes simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
