The software has been created as general software for surveillance hybrid platforms working simultaneously with wireless and wired IP cameras, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the similar form and functionality on the local and distant workstations. Users view MPEG coded picture and have full management of the program through network that surveillance server can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular structure considerably increases reliability because all modules operate as autonomous programs. If one module freezes, other components go on working. For example if the `record` part stops working, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture through a `playback` unit. The program makes `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be constant or it can be started by motion, human face recognition, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance station as well as on remote computer through Web interface. The software does simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many webcams concurrently. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
