The software has been created as common software for surveillance cross platforms working simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet webcams, TV-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the identical look and controls on the local and distant pcs. Customers view MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete management of the program through net that surveillance computer can be run without screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular structure significantly improves reliability because all parts operate as autonomous programs. If one part stops working, other components keep on running. For example if the `record` module fails, `watchdog` restarts it right away that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture via a `playback` part. The software performs `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be activated by movement, human face detection, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance server as well as on apart server via Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event analysis from many webcams concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
