When you purchase your fish from the pet store it is a very good idea to ask them what they have been feeding the fish. When their food is changed, they sometimes will not eat the new food that is introduced to them. They will go for weeks without eaten because of the new food that is being introduced to them. This can be very challenging. Once you find out what the pet store was feeding them, you can then give them a mixture of food so that they can gradually accept the new food that is being introduced to them.
