The demand for heavy equipment worldwide is expected to go up in 2009 and will continue its rise well into 2014. The estimated increase is 5.4%. Emerging markets in China, India and Eastern Europe will support this growth through their continuing expansion. The Obama administration has also proposed a Stimulus Plan that will generate four million jobs mostly in the construction industry. The president?s proposal indicates that 10% of the new jobs will be part of constructing new roads, school buildings and bridges. They will also repair existing ones. The president has given an indication to the rebuilding of the entire American infrastructure. The heightened constructions activities will bring on a stronger demand for heavy equipment in the near future. Enrollment in training schools is also expected to rise.
